Astronauts that will go directly out in space (like when fixing the Hubble telescope), have a dangerous Job. They are constantly vulnerable to Radiation which is why they where a spacial spacesuit. They also might float out into deep space, which is why they are tied to to the telescope.
Astronauts also face a lot of G-force when the rocket is Launching, this is why astronauts need to be in good shape.
